Wind power gear grinding monitoring and data analysis —  ZF (Tianjin) Wind Power Co., Ltd.
ZF Tianjin is engaged in the design, development, assembly, manufacture and sale of gearboxes, gearbox components and parts for wind turbines for wind power generation (unit output power of 1.5 MW or above), mainly for international and domestic wind turbine manufacturers. As the third factory of Wind Energy Division of ZF Group, ZF Tianjin is committed to the design and manufacture of advanced wind power gearboxes to better serve customers at home and abroad. In wind power gear grinding, ZF wants to optimize the grinding process and establish its own grinding database through data methods. From the above perspective, ZF and Guilandin cooperate in wind power gear grinding monitoring and data analysis.

Install corresponding sensors on the Gleason IGTech machine to obtain the data of the IGTech process. The main data collected include: main power data, spindle temperature data, spindle vibration data, and displacement data of the spindle moving up and down. The description of the relevant hardware is as follows:

Industrial computer: real-time display and record the processing data collected by the sensor;

Power sensor: collect real power data of IGTech wheel spindle in real time;

A displacement sensor for acquire displacement data of that IGTech wheel shaft move up and down in real time;

Vibration sensor: collect vibration data of IGTech wheel shaft in real time;

Temperature sensor: real-time acquisition of IGTech wheel shaft temperature data;

Machining process data acquisition system is a tool to open the black box of grinding process. The special data analysis software of IGTech can analyze and interpret the collected data, and achieve the following objectives through data analysis:

1.Improve the processing efficiency: cancel the idle stroke by optimizing the trimming frequency of the trimming parameters, and improve the 9.4 by% ~ 20.7 by% in the above case;

2. identify a limit burn point in that grinding proces to control the grinding process;

3.identify that occurrence point of the chatter in the grin process and knowing the monitoring state of the equipment;

4.Evaluate the process design through the thermal steady-state analysis of the spindle;

5.Provide digital tools for the next generation of grinding technology to enhance core competitiveness;

6. Develop ZF's unique grinding database;
